Sam Kass is a White House chef and top food policy honcho who works closely with First Lady Michelle’s “Let’s Move” healthy food drive. He’s a Chicagoan who was the Obama family chef when President Obama was an Illinois senator. Kass picked his favorite Chicago restaurants during a WBEZ interview highlighted by Obamafoodorama.

Kass was in Chicago to speak Monday at the World Culinary Showcase at the National Restaurant Association’s 2011 Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show at McCormick Place.
