Ald. Ed Burke (14th), the only one of 50 Chicago alderman to have a police detail–four officers–is poised to have them yanked by Mayor Rahm Emanuel if he does not do the right thing and give them up. Sun-Times City Hall Reporter Fran Spielman reports the details of the Burke detail–and how he has $8 million stockpiled in a campaign warchest (the guy never has real opponents) he could use to pay for security if he feels threatened.
