Illinois Hunting: More on 4th zone

SHARE Illinois Hunting: More on 4th zone

As first noted in the Sun-Times outdoors page, IDNR director Marc Miller followed some innovative advice in drawing the zone lines for waterfowl hunting in northeast Illinois; here’s a bit more on that and the fourth zone.

The basic zones lines for Illinois, including the fourth zone, are those previously recommended by IDNR staff, with one change, a significant one for waterfowlers in northeast Illinois.

In NE Illinois, the line between the central and north zones for duck hunting will follow the same one as the last five years. However, for goose hunting, the line will be returned to its old path along I-80.

I do more of a breakdown and perspective for the Sun-Times outdoors page on Sunday.
