The Lyce Franais de Chicago is hosting its 8th Annual Fall French Market–a weekend festival packed with fun family activities, French cooking demonstrations, and holiday shopping opportunities.

Among the highlights, renowned Chicago-area chefs will serve up free cooking demos with recipes ideal for entertaining. Parents can also drop off children between ages 3 and 10 at the children’s pavilion where they can enjoy magic, music and other activities while their parents shop.

An array of nearly 100 vendors participate each year, selling the best of French & local merchandise and cuisine. Visitors can listen to live French music while dining on French foods like freshly made crpes. And there will be an opportunity to shop for French wares, one-of-a-kind home dcor items, art & antiques, local artisans’ jewelry, clothing and more.

Proceeds from the Fall French Market supports need-based scholarships and special programs for Lyce students.

The 2012 Fall French Market is scheduled for Friday through Sunday. Get more information here.
