Fears gales off the back side of Sandy ended the fall lake trout fishery at the Port of Indiana appear overblown.

While fishing with his buddy Robert Stroh of Oak Lawn, Robert Buckmaster landed this 18.2-pound, 37.25-inch laker Friday morning on a Dodger and blue and silver Spin-N-Glo in 18 feet of water on the reef.

“First quality laker I’ve caught in a couple of years,” the Chesterton, Ind. man emailed.
