Not everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

Halle Berry’s ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry was booked on a battery charge after a fight Thursday.

Aubry, a Canadian model who is the father of Berry’s daughter Nahla, got into a fight with Olivier Martinez at the actress’ Los Angeles home on Thanksgiving.

Before police arrived on the scene, Martinez reportedly made a citizen’s arrest. Both men were taken to the hospital following the brawl. Aubry reportedly sustained a broken rib, while Martinez injured his hand, starpulse reports.

The commanding officer for the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations and Community Affairs Group, Andrew Smith, told People.com that Aubry “was booked for a private persons arrest for battery” once he was released from the hospital.

Aubry’s bail was set at $20,000.

The fight allegedly stemmed with problems related to child custody. Berry had recently unsuccessfully tried to get permission to move to France with her daughter to live with her fiance and get away from the paparazzi.
