Chicago’s festival season begins in May. The city’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events announced the lineup on Wednesday.

Dates are subject to change:

Chicago Neighborhood Festivals: May through September.

Chicago Neighborhood Festivals: May through September.

Chicago Farmers Markets: May through October.

15th Annual Kids and Kites Festival: May 4.

Chicago Memorial Day Parade: May 25.

Millennium Park Music Series: Downtown Sounds runs May 27-July 29; Loops and Variations, June 13-July 18; Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz, July 25-Aug. 29.

30th Annual Chicago Blues Festival: June 6-9.

Chicago Bike Week: June 10-14.

Bike to Work Rally: June 14.

28th Chicago Gospel Music Festival: June 20-23.

17th Annual Chicago SummerDance: June 27-Sept. 15.

33d Annual Taste of Chicago: July 10-14.

21st annual Race to Taste: July 13.

55th Annual Chicago Air and Water Show: Aug. 17-18.

35th Annual Chicago Jazz Festival: Aug. 29-Sept. 1.

15th Annual World Music Festival, Sept. 12-22.

Events will also continue to be presented year-round at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St.
