DANCING WITH THE STARS - “Episode 1403" - This week’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” themed “The Most Memorable Year of My Life,” challenged the remaining eleven couples to perform a meaningful dance using any style dance of their choice, MONDAY, APRIL 2 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Sherri Shepherd of “The View” is typically full of laughs on “Dancing With the Stars,” but on Tuesday’s episode, it was tears instead.

The Chicago native’s eyes welled up when she learned she was dismissed. She urged viewers to tackle their fears the way she did “because it’s so amazing on the other side.”

Melissa Gilbert sat out the episode to recover from what she called a “mild concussion” suffered during Tuesday’s paso doble.

† On “The Voice,” meanwhile, another Chicagoan took a fall. Wicker Park model Erin Martin was one of the bottom three vote-getters on Team Cee Lo. Unconvinced by her rendition of Elton John’s “Your Song,” the pop star instead picked Cheesa for the save. That leaves Jesse Campbell, formerly of Maywood, the only “Voice” contender with local roots.
