Pitfalls of procrastination: Power failure means no new ‘South Park’ episode tonight

South Park Studios reportedly lost power Tuesday night, and that means the original episode slated for tonight won’t air until next week.

“From animation to rendering to editing and sound, all of our computers were down for hours and we were unable to finish episode 1704 ‘Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers’ in time for air tonight,” the statement read from Comedy Central.

“It sucks to miss an air date but after all these years of tempting fate by delivering the show last minute, I guess it was bound to happen,” said Trey Parker, co-creator of the long-running animated series.

Barring additional power outages, the “Goth Kids” episode will air at 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 23rd. Tonight’s episode will be a repeat of “Scott Tenorman Must Die.”
