Keep it real, when it comes to food. That’s the focus of the third annual Eat Real Chicago Festival, which is going on at Daley Plaza until 2 p.m. In addition to that wonderful regular farmers market that’s there on Thursdays, there will be a variety of speakers, a truck farm garden, demos on raw food prep, seed removal and more.

In just the last month we’ve seen problems with salmonella in chicken, tainted spices and bad dog treats, Isn’t it time we started paying attention to our food sources and doing more for ourselves?
