SHARE Series return dates for ‘American Idol,’ ‘The Following’

Variety reports today that Fox has announced “American Idol” will premiere in a two-inght, four-hour show Jan. 15 and 16, and will “trim its Thursdsay results show to 30 minutes for eight weeks in the spring.”

The post at varitey.com goes on to say that the “Kevin Bacon drama “The Following,” which was Fox’s top-rated drama of last season, will kick off its second season on Jan. 20.”

As announced earlier this year, the “American Idol” judging panel will feature Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.
