Harvest of deer by Illinois bowhunters continues the season-long lag behind last year.

Here is the latest update from the IDNR

Through Sunday, October 27, 2013, Illinois archery deer hunters harvested a preliminary total of 17,967 deer. Preliminary harvest through the same period last year was 19,225. Harvest to date consisted of 66% does and 34% males (11838; 6129). Top five counties were Pike (673), Fulton (510), Jefferson (459), Vermilion (366), and JoDaviess (365).
