Diane Keaton
Call it another example of “The Small World Department.” As Diane Keaton went to an early sound-check for her Thursday keynote speech at the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation luncheon at the Chicago Hilton, the Oscar winner noticed the group’s supporters setting up their designer purse auction — and promptly bought two of the donated designer bags.
Unbeknownst to Keaton, one was a Miu-Miu polka-dot purse, among those given by Chicagoan Sally Kovler, the sister of Nancy Meyers — the hugely successful Hollywood writer and producer who has made four films with Keaton: “Baby Boom,” “Something’s Gotta Give,” and her two “Father of the Bride” flicks.
