Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald won’t be the only one looking to capitalize on the fanfare associated with the Wildcats’ high-profile match up against Ohio State on Saturday.

Basketball coach Chris Collins will be hosting Plainfield East junior guard Aaron Jordan, a source told the Sun-Times. Northwestern commits Vic Law and Scott Lindsey, part of the class of 2014, are also expected to be on campus.

Jordan currently holds offers from Creighton, Wisconsin, Xavier, Illinois, Butler, Indiana and Northwestern. The Wildcats offered Jordan a scholarship on Sept. 24.

Interestingly Georgetown assistant Tavaras Hardy, who left Northwestern this summer to join the Hoyas’ staff, is also in pursuit of Jordan. According to the source, Hardy was seen at Jordan’s high school open gym though Georgetown has yet to offer him a scholarship.

Prior to the football team’s game against the Buckeyes, the basketball team is hosting an open scrimmage.
