Two of the best improvisers on the planet, TJ Jagodowski and David Pasquesi, got a rare and very generous end-of-show shout-out Tuesday night from Comedy Central powerhouse Stephen Colbert for the 8 p.m. show they’re doing Friday, October 11 at Town Hall (123 W. 43rd) with special guest Ike Reilly.

In addition to performing their long-form improv show, “TJ & Dave,” in New York, the guys are late-night regulars at iO Theater in Chicago. Pasquesi, Jagodowski and Colbert all trained at iO and Second City, among other places around town.

On TV, you can catch Jagodowski in frequently aired spots for Sonic (with his former Chicago improv cohort Peter Grosz) and Pasquesi in HBO’s very funny “Veep” as the husband of U.S. vice president Selina Meyer — played by Northwestern grad and former Practical Theatre Company member Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
