Unless you watched the filming last spring, your first chance to glimpse “Divergent,” the hotly awaited sci-fi film made in Chicago, comes Wednesday morning.
Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the movie, says it will unveil the trailer at 10:30 a.m. Chicago time. Immediately after the trailer premiere, director Neil Burger will participate in a live chat on the YouTube channel. Fans can submit questions for the filmmaker by tweeting @Divergent or @NeilBurger using the hashtag #Divergent.
Based on the best-selling novel by Chicago author Veronica Roth, “Divergent” is about a future society where people are divided into factions based on their personalities. Shailene Woodley stars as Tris Prior, who is branded “divergent” and told she fits into no group.
It is scheduled to open March 21.
