The Bears’ bye week definitely did cornerback Charles Tillman some good. He said his injured right knee feels better than it has in some time.

“I got some time off. I got to rest my knee,” Tillman said Saturday after doing extra work after practice. “I’m able to do 10 times more than I was able to earlier in the season. [The bye week] was very beneficial for my knee.”

Tillman, who is officially listed as probable for Monday night against the Green Bay Packers, has been dealing with his knee issue since before Week 3 against the Steelers.

Tillman was inactive Week 6 against the Giants and has been limited when he has played. Tillman also didn’t finish the Bears’ last game against the Redskins.

But Tillman, who sat out practices earlier this week, doesn’t think his knee issue will be a chronic detriment. He reiterated that the bye week was beneficial.

“No, I’m not concerned,” Tillman said. “I am not concerned at all.”
