New Rap Song Raps Ventra

The CTA’s troubled new fare payment system has become the butt of a rap song.

V.E.N.T.R.A. the rap has been posted by ScratchetOA on SoundCloud. Among other things, the song accuses Mayor Rahm Emanuel — “the king of Chi Town” – of ruining “a system that’s worked for years.’’

“CTA bossman” Forrest Claypool gets his share of digs, too.

In its chorus, the rap labels Ventra “the newest way to headache on the CTA.’’
