It’s a historic day in Illinois as Gov. Pat Quinn is signing the same-sex marriage bill into law. The signing will take place in front of thousands of supporters at UIC today and, in a not-so-subtle bit of symbolism, Quinn will sign the bill atop a desk once used by Abraham Lincoln.
