Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider brings the world premiere of his original musical “Dee Snider’s Rock & Roll Christmas Tale” to Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse beginning Nov. 4, 2014.

Dee Snider brings the world premiere of his holiday musical “Rock & Roll Christmas Tale” to Chicago in 2014.

Starring and written by Snider (the singer is no stranger to Broadway, having starred as Dennis Dupre in “Rock of Ages” for three months) the musical tells the story of the fictional heavy metal band Daisy Cutter, looking to make it big even though the 80s are WAY over. To achieve their dream, the foursome sells their souls to the devil in exchange for success. But every time they try to seal the deal, their headbanging metal turns into holiday carols.

“Rock & Roll” will be directed by Adam John Hunter (“Rock of Ages,” “Company”). The show is part of Broadway in Chicago’s 2014 fall season lineup. Group tickets only are currently on sale at (312) 977-1710 or via broadwayinchicago.com. Individual tickets will go on sale at a later date.
