MINNEAPOLIS — The Bears are down another defensive starter.

Safety Major Wright, who hurt his hamstring this past week at practice, is inactive against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Veteran backup safety Craig Steltz, who suffered a concussion two weeks ago against the Baltimore Ravens, will start in his place.

Wright is just the latest starter to miss time for the Bears defense. But the Bears will have help up front with defensive tackle Stephen Paea returning from a nagging turf toe and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff set to make his Bears debut after weeks of preparation after groin surgery in January.

Safety Sean Cattouse, a Chicago native, is active for the Bears for the first time with Wright and backup Anthony Walters (hamstring) injured. Cattouse was recently promoted from the practice squad.

Other inactives for the Bears include rookie defensive Cornelius Washington and offensive linemen James Brown and Jonathan Scott.

Quarterback Jay Cutler (ankle) and linebacker Lance Briggs (shoulder) were ruled out last week.
