Northwestern junior swingman JerShon Cobb is expected to miss tonight’s game against Mississippi Valley State with an ankle injury, a source told the Sun-Times.

Cobb ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 13.6 points per game. More importantly, coach Chris Collins relies on Cobb to handle the ball in the most critical situations of games.

Dave Sobolewski, who almost exclusively handled the ball under former coach Bill Carmody, is likely to be the Wildcats’ primary ball handler in Cobb’s absence.
