Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly, who knows a thing or two about football offenses, can’t help but impressed by what the Bears have accomplished under Marc Trestman.

‘‘It’s a fun offense to watch,’’ said Kelly, whose team is ranked second in total offense in the NFL (414 yards per game). ‘‘It’s not going to be a fun offense on Sunday to watch. But I enjoy watching them other times during the season.’’

Kelly said he is most impressed with the diversity of Trestman’s offense. ‘‘There’s everything,’’ he said. ‘‘If you’re a fan of offensive football, just their diversity, how they use their running backs, what they do with their tight ends, their extra o-line package; what they’re doing with their receivers to kind of get them uncovered; the new wrinkles he has on a weekly basis.’’

The Bears are fifth in the NFL in passing yards and 13th in rushing yards. They have multiple threats in wide receivers Alshon Jeffery (80 receptions, 1,265 yards, seven touchdowns) and Brandon Marshall (90-1,185, 10), running back Matt Forte (258 rushes, 1,200 yards, seven touchdowns; 66 receptions, 522 yards, two touchdowns) and tight end Martellus Bennett (59-659, 5). And Trestman uses inventive plays to get them involved in the offense.

‘‘He has a lot of really good weapons,’’ Kelly said. ‘‘The fact they didn’t miss a beat when Jay [Cutler] went down and Josh [McCown] stepped in.’’

The Marshall-Jeffery combination will be a challenge for the Eagles defense, which is ranked 30th in total yards (380 yards per game) and 31st in passing yards allowed (292 per game). The Vikings’ Matt Cassel threw for 382 yards and had a 116.6 passer rating in a 48-30 victory over the Eagles last week. Greg Jennings had 11 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown and Jarius Wright had four catches for 95 yards.

‘‘You have to be as close to your work as possible,’’ Kelly said when asked about defending Marshall and Jeffery. ‘‘You have two outstanding receivers that even when you are on them one-on-one, that still doesn’t mean they’re covered, because of their ability to get the football. Our guys are excited about the challenge, but it may be the best combination we’ve faced this year.’’
