There could be another chair added to the bench in a few weeks, as Tom Thibodeau said on Saturday that injured star Derrick Rose could be joining his teammates on the sideline in the next few weeks.
“He’s doing fine, coming along,’’ Thibodeau said. “He’s on a crutch, he’s got his brace, so I don’t want him sitting there like that [now].’’
Rose tore the meniscus in his right knee after playing just 10 regular-season games, and was ruled out for the remainder of the season.
He has started the rehab process, however, and that’s why it could be time for him to become a fixture on the bench by mid-January.
“Well he can lift upper body, do all his rehab stuff, so he is starting to move around a little bit now,’’ Thibodeau added. “He can go in the pool.’’
