Naomi Judd confirms daughter Ashley & race car driver hubby are back together

As has been rumored for some time, Naomi Judd has confirmed her daughter, Ashley Judd, and the actress’ previously estranged husband, race car driver Dario Franchitti, have reconciled.

In an interview with Closer Weekly, the senior Judd said Franchitti’s near-fatal Oct. 6 auto race crash led to the couple reconnecting.

“The instant she heard about the wreck, [Ashley] jumped on a plane and was there with him,” Judd said. “They are madly in love. And they are bonded for life.”

Recently, Franchitti has announced he is retiring from the racing circuit due to the injuries he suffered in the crash.
