Elton John launches new feud — now it's Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus

Sounds like Elton John is launching a couple more feuds with fellow music stars — similar to the outspoken music man famously created with Madonna, a few years back.

Now it’s Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus who have been targeted by Sir Elton in a Down Under interview with The Australian — and I’m hearing from both women’s camps that they are not happy about John’s snarky cracks.

Even though Gaga is godmother to John’s two sons, Zachary and Elijah, he says she won’t take his calls. “I’d like to be able to talk to her right now, but I can’t get through to her. And there are times when you have to listen. When your persona begins to take over your music and becomes more important, you enter a dangerous place.”

According to a very good Gaga source, the flamboyant entertainer, “is just tired of Elton’s constant criticism. … How crazy is it for someone known for his own flamboyance — especially back when he was Gaga’s age — to criticize her for creating a world-famous image that her millions of fans adore!”

†As for Cyrus, Sir Elton told The Australian, “I see a meltdown waiting to happen…and she’s so young! But she’s got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?”

The Cyrus camp is laughing off the criticism. “Miley has a lot more to worry about, than what Elton John has to say. … She thinks he’s totally irrelevant to her career or her fan base.”

†One piece of advice Sir Elton did express in the interview likely could help many famous folks: “The secret of success is: Don’t let everyone know everything” — clearly a jab at Twitter-obsessed stars.

“Keep some of it to yourself. It’s why I’m not a big fan of the internet. There should be some privacy, some mystique left. Even with me. All they talk about is the hair, the flowers. Actually, they don’t know me at all.”
