An intriguing art exhibition is taking place Friday evening at the River East Art Center, 445 E. Illinois. Chicago artist Jesus Salgueiro, who is married to noted chef Art Smith, will be unveiling his “Going Gaga for Love Mandalas.” The two-part exhibit will focus on Salgueiro’s affinity for love — and will include 12 iconic renditions of pop superstar Lady Gaga. One of them actually moved the pop icon to tears, when she first saw it. There will be 42 other “love” mandalas, a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hindu and Buddhist cultures.
