Sources close to Jay-Z told me Monday that the music kingpin and husband of Beyonce is none too happy about Chris Brown pulling him into a story in the October issue of Chicago-based Jet magazine.

In the interview, Brown complained that the public has been slow to forgive his past indiscretions — including his battery conviction for beating Rihanna — yet Jay-Z “gets a pass.”

The R&B star said, while he meant “no disrespect, because I’m a fan [of Jay-Z], but nobody brings up the fact that he stabbed somebody and sold drugs.”

Brown was referring to a 1999 incident, when Jay-Z pleaded guility to stabbing record producer Lance “Un” Rivera.

A longtime Jay-Z associate said Monday, “Yeah! Nobody brings it up, so Chris figures he has to. … He should just mind his own business and pay attention to his own house.”
