But for some reason, Helen Fielding and the culture crew across the pond dropped a bomb in this 30-somethings’ cappuccino. Two extracts from the third installment of the Bridget Jones trilogy were published in yesterday’s Sunday magazine and the title character reveals that Mark Darcy died FIVE YEARS EARLIER.

Fans are aghast by the developments and have taken to Social Media to vent their frustrations.
