SHARE Charlie Trotter library, school planned

Rochelle Smith Trotter wants to create a library and education center to continue the legacy of her late husband, famed Chicago chef Charlie Trotter.

Shia Kapos at Crain’s Chicago Business writes Trotter is working on a Charlie Trotter Library to showcase his collection of culinary-related items and the Charlie Trotter Center for Excellence to teach his cooking methods. Trotter is a director and treasurer of the Charlie Trotter Culinary Education Foundation.

Charlie Trotter suffered a stroke and died Nov. 5.
