Dunkin’ Donuts expects to open about 400 new shops in 2014 as the company tries to get a little more of America to run on Dunkin.

Dunkin’ Brands said Monday it has deals to open about 100 shops in California and is working to sell franchises in the northern part of the state. Overall, Dunkin’ Donuts will open between 380 and 410 stores in the United States and between 685 and 800 stores globally.

In 2013 franchisees and licensees opened a combined 790 new Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins worldwide.

The Canton, Mass., company had almost 11,000 Dunkin’ Donuts and more than 7,250 Baskin-Robbins restaurants at the end of its fiscal year.
