SHARE Luke Bryan coming to Soldier Field; Dave Matthews at Northerly Island

Fans of Luke Bryan will be happy to learn the country music super star is bringing his “That’s My Kinda Night” tour to Soldier Field this summer. The singer announced three stadium dates at a Tuesday press conference — including the Aug. 31 concert. No date yet has been announced for when tickets will go on sale.

At his press conference in Nashville, Bryan said, “My main thing is more lights, more speakers, more video, more camera guys, more things to make it a very special, interactive experience with the fans.”

Bryan has invited Dierks Bentley to join him as a special guest for two of his stadium dates — including the one at Soldier Field Aug. 31.

Lee Brice and Cole Swindell will be the openers for the entire tour, which will include approximately 80 dates.

†In other music news, local dates have been announced for the Dave Matthews Band. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7 for “A Very Special Evening with Dave Matthews Band,” featuring two sets per evening July 4 and 5 at FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island.
