Cubs curse lifted? Thank Ice Cube

“I will have goat curry tonight!”

And just like that, the Cubs curse has been lifted. At least, so declared Ice Cube while standing outside Wrigley Field this week.

The former N.W.A. rapper/current actor was in town with Kevin Hart to promote their upcoming movie “Ride Along” on WGN when they swung by the Friendly Confines. ‘cube wanted to throw out the first pitch, but, seeing as how opening day isn’t until April 4, WGN reporter Dean Richards asked him to break the Curse of the Billy Goat.

Ice Cube was happy to oblige.

“The curse… is lifted,” Ice Cube proclaimed. “I will have goat curry tonight!”

Towards the end of the segment, WGN gave Ice Cube his own custom jersey, his name splashed across the back and everything. I feel like they missed out on a real obvious opportunity here…
