A Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight operated by Polish airline LOT was delayed Friday because regular maintenance lasted longer than expected, the airline said.
The jet was replaced with another Dreamliner, allowing the charter flight to take off for its destination in the Dominican Republic, a LOT spokeswoman told Reuters.com.
Battery problems resurfaced on Boeing’s 787 on Tuesday, after gas was discovered coming out of a battery on a plane parked in Tokyo. The problem on a Japan Airlines 787 was discovered during scheduled maintenance. No passengers were on board, Boeing said.
