Two teenagers are in police custody after they tried to rob an ATM, which turned out to be empty, inside a closed Dominick’s store Thursday morning in Streeterville.

The teens tried to break into an ATM machine inside the closed Dominck’s grocery at 255 E. Grand Ave. about 8 a.m., police said.

The ATM they tried to rob was empty, police said. The store had closed last week.
