Stressing that they still consider themselves The Wanted — and promise they’ll do joint projects as a group in the future — the super-hot boy-band quintet announced Wednesday they are taking a break “to pursue personal endeavors.”

In the statement released on their website, The Wanted (Tom Parker, Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran and Nathan Sykes) said, “This [upcoming “Word of Mouth”] tour will be their last for awhile… The band wants to stress to fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future.”

The Wanted will perform in Chicago at the House of Blues on April 19.

Wednesday’s announcement follows the group’s December decision to cancel all of their 2014 European dates, after George left their U.S. tour to deal with the death of his grandfather.

Not surprisingly, many of the band’s legion of fans took to Twitter to bemoan the “taking a break” news.
