Funnyman Mike Epps — best known for such comedies as “Next Friday,” “Friday After Next” and “All About the Benjamins” — will bring his “After Dark Tour” to Chicago this spring. Tickets for Epps’ 8 p.m. April 19 show at the Arie Crown Theater at McCormick Place go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at LiveNation.com

The comedian and actor’s standup career got national exposure when he joined the Def Comedy Jam tour in 1995, and the HBO special showcasing that tour. The comic also has had tow Showtime Comedy specials.

His upcoming film — “Repentence” with Forest Whitaker and Anthony Mackie — hits theaters Feb. 28.
