Dr. John and Aaron Neville (above) will bring the sounds of New Orleans to the Chicago Blue Festival in June. The Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events announced Tuesday that the 31st edition of the festival will be held June 13-15 in Grant Park.

Dr. John and Neville close the festival Sunday. Opening the festival that night is up-and-coming R&B singer Nikki Hill.

Other additions include the Carolina Chocolate Drops (June 13), a tribute to Sonny Boy Williamson featuring Billy Boy Arnold and the Siegal-Schwall Blues Band (June 13), and powerhouse vocalist Bettye LaVette (June 14)

A complete lineup for the free festival is expected in the spring. Visit chicagobluesfestival.us.
