The last few days have been nothing but bad news for truck drivers carrying large amounts of meat, dead or alive.

First, there was the report of a truck containing 76,000 pounds of beef ribs catching fire on a Southern California highway on Saturday, resulting in one heck of an aromatic, mouth-watering truck fire.

And then today, video surfaces from southwestern China’s Guizhou Province, where more than 3,000 chickens made a run for it after the truck they were riding in overturned on the highway. All in all, it was a fowl scene.

Police were able to round up 900 of the loose chickens off the road and nearby bushes, leaving roughly 2,000 of the birds on the loose.

CCTV, China’s state broadcaster, said there were no human casualties.
