While known for mostly very adult fare, the host of Nickelodeon’s 27th annual Kids’ Choice Awards is going to be Mark Wahlberg, star of the gripping film, “Lone Survivor” and of the upcoming “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” partially filmed in Chicago last summer. Not to worry. Wahlberg knows a lot about kids. He’s got four of them.

Famous for “slime-ing” stars at the show, the Kids Choice Awards will air live at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 29 on the kids-oriented cable network — featuring a slew of the planet’s most popular stars from the worlds of TV, film and music.
