SHARE CPS closes schools due to severe winter storm, conditions

The Chicago Public Schools announced school will be cancelled Monday, reversing the course they had set through the day. This after most area school districts and colleges had already called off classes and the Chicago Teachers Union had urged the move.

With more than 84% of precincts counted statewide, Bailey had 57.2% of the vote compared to 15.8% for downstate venture capitalist Jesse Sullivan and 15.4% for third-place candidate Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin.
