SHARE CTA will have more and more frequent L trains running for Chicago Marathon

The CTA will run longer and more frequent L trains Sunday to accommodate runners and spectators traveling to the Chicago Marathon.

The Blue, Red, Brown, Orange, Green and Purple lines all will run more frequently or with longer trains Sunday. There also will be additional staff working at the O’Hare Blue Line terminal, the Midway Orange Line terminal and other stations along affected lines, according to the CTA.

A full list of Sunday’s service changes is available on the CTA’s website, www.transitchicago.com.

The marathon starts at Jackson and Columbus in Grant Park at 7:20 a.m. for wheelchair participants and at 7:30 a.m. for runners..
