The Harold Washington Library will be closed Saturday while crews work to install an emergency generator in the building.

Power will be cut to some systems Saturday to allow for a “necessary and final step” in the installation process, according to a statement from the Chicago Public Library.

All other public library branches across the city will be open during regular hours Saturday, and the Harold Washington Library will resume normal public service on Sunday.
