(SKOKIE) Watch out for construction on Crawford Avenue in north suburban Skokie on Tuesday as crews work to repair a water main.

The repairs on Crawford, between Dobson and Howard streets, will last through the end of the day Tuesday, according to the Skokie Public Works Department.

One southbound lane of Crawford will be closed all day, but both southbound lanes could be shut down intermittently for repairs, the department said.

Traffic will be detoured when both lanes are closed, and drivers should avoid the area, the department said.
