Too bad the Chicago Bears don’t have this Sacramento cop on the roster, because he sure can tackle — even when the suspect is fleeing on a bicycle.
Michael Kennedy had allegedly committed a crime at a train station, and when the police tried to nab him, he took a swing at one of them and fled. When police set up a perimeter to block him in, Kennedy hid out in a back yard and then later hopped a fence, grabbed a bike and took off.
All of this was captured by CBS Sacramento.
In the video, Kennedy starts to pedal away, with his head down in an attempt to hide his face from the camera.
But then, out of nowhere, a cop enters the scene and takes the suspect down with a textbook tackle. Kennedy then reaches around for the officer’s gun and at that point, others rush the scene to help out.
Michael Kennedy faces multiple charges, including felony assault on a police officer.
Lesson learned here: When fleeing from the cops, ride with your head up to avoid the tackle.
