A man was shot in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting happened about 2:35 p.m. in the 300 block of South Pulaski Road, police News Affairs Officer Ana Pacheco said.

The man, 31, was shot in the right thigh and remains on the scene in “stable” condition, Pacheco said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
