#1 Summer Travel Departure City: Chicago

A new report from financial data clearinghouse WalletHub ranks Chicago as the overall best city to depart from for travel this summer. The study took into account factors including flight costs, flight duration from departing city and the number of connections required. Chicago ranked #1 as a departure city for international flights and #5 for domestic flights out of the 50 largest metro areas and D.C. Click on the map to see how other cities fared:
