United Airlines has introduced Embraer 175 aircraft to its regional jet service from Chicago to Boston and Washington.

United Express carrier SkyWest began using the 76-seat jet to Boston on Monday. The jet debuted on flights to Reagan National on Saturday.

“We are thrilled to welcome the E175 to United Express,” said Sandra Pineau-Boddison, United’s senior vice president of United Express. “This fantastic new aircraft will enable us to better serve our customers, particularly in high-frequency business markets.”

The jet will be added to flight from Chicago to Atlanta, Minneapolis/St. Paul and New York LaGuardia in June. United expects to have 70 E175 aircraft in its United Express fleet by the end of 2015.
