(NORTHBROOK) Three people were injured Monday afternoon when an IDOT truck and a car collided in north suburban Northbrook.

The IDOT truck, traveling southbound on Pfingsten Road, collided with the northbound car about 1:50 p.m. when it attempted to turn east onto Techny Road, said Daniel Petka, spokesman for the Northbrook Police Department.

Two men in the IDOT truck and one man in the car were taken with non-life-threatening injuries to Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Petka said.

The Pfingsten and Techny roads intersection was closed to traffic for about two hours while Northbrook police investigated the crash, Petka said.
