A man was seriously wounded in a stabbing in the Montclare neighborhood on the Northwest Side Friday morning.

The 28-year-old man was stabbed about 11:20 p.m. in the 2900 block of North Normandy Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood in serious condition, Sweeney said.

Details on the circumstances of the stabbing were not immediately known.

Area North detectives are investigating.
